A private Khao Lak to Kuraburi Pier transfer is the gateway transfer for Koh Surin National Marine Park — the remote twin-island park 60 km offshore that is widely considered one of Thailand’s finest snorkelling destinations. The drive from Khao Lak to Kuraburi Pier covers approximately 75 km and takes around 1 hour 15 minutes.

Kuraburi Pier (Pier 2, or the DMCR pier) is the departure point for national park speedboats and day-trip operators running to Koh Surin. The national park operates day trips and overnight camping packages from the pier directly.

Koh Surin National Marine Park

Koh Surin is one of the Andaman’s top dive and snorkel destinations — healthy hard coral, resident whale sharks (seasonal), and Moken sea nomad villages. The park is open from approximately October 15 to May 15 each year; speedboats from Kuraburi take around 2 hours each way. Day trips and overnight camping at the park headquarters (Ao Chong Khat) are available through the national park directly.

Season and timing

The Kuraburi–Surin route operates only during the dry season (mid-October to mid-May). Outside season, the pier is closed and no boats run. This contrasts with the Khao Lak to Ranong transfer, which operates year-round.

What is included

One fixed price for the minivan and driver from your Khao Lak hotel to Kuraburi Pier — up to 9 passengers. The national park boat ticket (approximately ฿1,500–2,500 per person) is booked separately through the park. Night surcharge (฿300) applies to journeys from midnight to 6 am.
