Khao Lak Land Discovery ist ein sehr guter Anbieter um die Gegend in Khao lak zu sehen. Die Reisebegleitung holt die Gäste direkt vom Hotel ab und bringt sie aber auch zurück nach dem Ausflug. Der Reiseleiter ist sehr kompetent und hilfsbereit. Sie bieten ein breiteren Angebot an den Ausflügen und sind flexibel, falls man diesen oder anderen Ausflug umbuchen will. Am besten geht man ins Zentrum von Khao Lak selber und bucht persöhnlich alle Ausflüge, denn z.B. Neckermann Reisebüro in Khao Lak kassiert gleich 30% vom Preis den man zahlt, beim Treffen im Hotel mit dem Reisevertreter von Neckermann. Wir fanden es ist zu viel und haben zum Glück einen von vier Ausflügen persönlich im Büro von Khao Lal Land Discovery gebucht und sind sehr sehr zufrieden geblieben. Echt empfehlenswert und sehenswert!

very cute, very local and friendly. after the group left waterfall we had it to ourselves and then lunch at local restaurant overlooking waterfall. very nice.

We went on the Similan Islands snorkeling tour. Punctual hotel pickup / drop-off and good safety demonstration at the dock pre-departure. They even give you anti-motion sickness medication if you want it! Pretty nice gear but make sure that your flippers don't have any cracks (one of mine did!). The motor boat was nice and had two entry / exit ladders so you could get in and out of the boat quickly. They also pack snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) for you on the boat. Our guide, Mark, spoke excellent English, German, and Thai. He really considers all the factors that make a snorkeling trip successful like the tides, current, and crowds at each reef location. He told us a lot about the places we saw and things to look for there. Couldn't have asked for a better guide so ask for him! Luck was on our side when we saw two sea turtles and an octopus at the first location! Lunch was pretty elaborate for being a "packed lunch". It featured three different dishes with rice as well as fried shrimp and watermelon! We ate on this great little island. It felt like we were in a movie it was so picturesque. At the end of tour, you will be offered a really cool dvd featuring lots of pictures and videos taken of you during the tour. They edit in shots of you swimming into a bunch of Similan Island wildlife footage too so it's like a National Geographic film- my husband and I love ours! Although we were on a pretty tight budget, we decided to spurge for a Similan Island tour. I'm so glad I booked it with Land Discovery!note of caution: - don't forget to bring lots of sun protection! - things get wet on the boat when everyone gets out of the water so make sure you have a waterproof bag or a couple of plastic bags for your belongings

Wir haben das Tour Programm 3 in die Phang Nga Bucht gemacht. D.h. Panak Insel, Hong Inseln, James Bond Felsen und Essen im Fischerdorf auf Stelzen. Wir wurden um 6:15 pünktlich abgeholt (Zeit hängt von den Gezeiten ab und kann sehr stark variieren). Die Gruppe war mit 10 Personen voll besetzt - eine angenehme Größe). Unser Guide Ming hat hervorragend deutsch gesprochen, musste aber für ein englisches Pärchen alles auf englisch wiederholen. War aber alles kein Problem. Nach der Fahrt zum Anlegesteg sind wir auf ein Longtailboot umgestiegen, das bereits mit den Kanus beladen war. An der Panakinsel angekommen hat sich das frühe aufstehen wirklich gelohnt: wir waren die einzige Gruppe von 5 Booten in der Insel. Durch eine Höhle wurden wir ins Innere gepaddelt. Die Durchfahrt ist nur zu bestimmten Zeiten möglich - wir mussten uns ganz flach machen, damit wir durch gepasst haben. Das Innere war absolut atemberaubend!Bei den Hong Inseln wurden die Kanus erneut zu Wasser gelassen und wir haben eine weitere Lagune angeschaut und konnten auch selbst etwas paddeln - wer wollte. Der James Bond Felsen war erwartungsgemäß von Touristen überlaufen, aber trotzdem nett anzuschauen. Das Essen im Fischerdorf war gut. Auf der ganzen Fahrt gab es Wasser und Coca-Cola soviel man wollte. Wir hatten eine grössere Kamera dabei, um die wir nie Angst hatten.Der ganze Tag war ein tolles Erlebnis und wir waren restlos begeistert. Wir wollten danach einen weiteren Trip buchen, leider war schon alles voll (in der Hauptsaison also rechtzeitig buchen). Wir sind auf einen anderen Anbieter ausgewichen (Eco Khao Lak) von dem wir nicht ganz so begeistert waren. Khao Lak Land Discovery ist etwas teurer, aber sein Geld wert.
