Look it was fine. The guide worked really hard to ensure our enjoyment and safety, which we appreciated. It was excellent to see the elephants and to see how well they are looked after. Keeping in mind that people have to make a living and if all you know is driving an elephant then it's great that tourism can pay people for what they do. Our Mahout was excellent and his English wasn't bad, enough to add another layer to the experience. Out of 10, 7 for the elephant experience. It's Thailand so food is important and also people need to make a living. So we stopped by a waterfall and ate at the "restaurants?" The food was excellent and the guide Mr Ake went to great care that any dietary issues were taken care of. Over all too expensive for the result.

We have now gone on two tours, one with Don for half day elephant trekking and one day with Paula for the 3 temples. Don was very funny and happy man- he was a very good guide. He took good care for all of us to make sure we were safe and ok. The elephant trekking was a nice experience and bathing with the elephants nice although i was very cautious. Paula was also good with the 3 temples tour..i.must say i do not particularly like waiting for guides to have smokes and allowing other smokers in the group to light up whenever we were to head off- i did not find this professional for someone getting paid and it did not make us feel good HOWEVER other than this Paula was an excellent guide and was extremely informative. She answered many questions and has a wonderful heart for animals. I would probably choose an english only speaking tour myself had i known however still enjoyed and learnt a lot. We also enjoyed getting to know one other couple we were with the others didnt want to speak to anyone. I would recommend this company. The tours are pricey when you think about entry fee to most places is tiny and staff do not get paid much so i am not sure where it all goes

Wir haben mit dem Khao Lak Land Discovery den "Elefantenbadespaß" gebucht. Ein besonderes Lob hier geht an unsere Führerin die wir ins "Tanja" umbenannt haben, da wir nicht in der Lage waren, ihren Namen richtig auszusprechen - sorry an dieser Stelle :) Der Ausflug war gut organisiert, Tanja hat viele tolle Dinge erzählt und gewusst. Ihr Englisch war sehr gut und sie hat ihre Kultur wirklich auf eine tolle und ansprechende Art nähergebracht. Außerdem hat sie mir ein Geburtstagsständchen gebracht, in das alle - auch die Mahuts - mit eingestimmt haben - dadurch hat sie mir eine sehr große Freude und eine tolle Erinnerung beschwert!Wir können diesen Anbieter und insbesondere die Tour nur empfehlen!

We enjoyed a visit to an elephant camp with Khao Lak Land Discovery. The camp is entirely tourism based, as far as I understand elephants only do tourist trekking. They are fascinating animals and don't look mistreated. I'm glad we saw the elephants and had our track and elephant wash ( in a small concrete pool), however the experience included some hysterical screaming from a lady in a separate tour group - she found it scary and let everyone know. I know if I was an elephant I would have started running away at the sounds she was making. The camp elephants remained calm, good on them. Our guide was Italian, on an internship in Khao Lak and spoke English and German. The van was clean and well maintained, there was plenty of water and the lunch was nice. Tip:if you wear silk pants hold on to the chair when elephants are walking downhill - it's v slippery!

Wir möchten an dieser Stelle ein besonderes Lob unserer Reiseleitung während der Phang Nga Tour Renate machen. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut betreut, auch im Hinblick auf die uns erbrachten Informationen. Diese Tour sollte eingentlich jeder machen, der in der Nähe von Kha Lak oder Phuket Urlaub macht.
