We booked this somewhat expensive but very nice and professionally conducted day trip to the Surin Islands via Khao Lak Land Discovery. The actual boat trip was carried out by another renowned company.After a very early pick-up at the hotel in Khao Lak about 5am you were on time for sunrise at the pier in Khao Lak, had to check in there, there was a quick breakfast and the first information about the day trip in our local language in German.After about an hour it started. They went barefoot on the speedboat catamaran. The crew and tour guides introduced themselves.There was mind. 2 rounds of snorkeling on great reefs, as well as 2 shore excursions, once at the See-Nomaden village and a beach and bathing stop on the neighboring island with additional late lunch buffet. On board were constantly soft drinks and water, as well as fresh fruit or cookies. Highlights on this island were the wild animals such as monkeys, birds or warblers. In the See-Nomaden-Village and during the bathing stop, things and souvenirs could also be bought if necessary.The snorkeling equipment was provided. The crew and guides were nice and friendly and happy to help. So this trip was a great successful experience.After the return journey, we stopped briefly at the pier where we could change our clothes and use the toilet facilities again if necessary before being taken back to the hotels.Except for getting up early, it was a great day.

Der Ausflug war Klasse. Von Daniel, unserem Guide, bis auf die einzelnen Station hat alles überzeugt. Auch das Mittagessen, sehr einheimisch und wirklich lecker.

Escursione che vale tutti i soldi spesi! Sono venuti a prelevarci alle 5:15 del mattino e arrivati al punto di ritrovo ci hanno offerto la colazione prima di partire. Dopo un’oretta di navigazione siamo arrivati a Maya Bay posto incantevole. Via via abbiamo visto le altre isole, fatto il bagno e le nostre soste di snorkling. Sulla barca vi erano sempre bibite fresche a disposizione e dei biscottini all’ananas deliziosi. Il pranzo lo abbiamo fatto sull’isola di bamboo, cibo buono e soprattutto servito in modo pulito. Staff davvero gentile e simpatico. Consiglio di fare questa escursione perché parte molto presto: i turisti sono tanti e partire più tardi vorrebbe dire non riuscire a godersi i luoghi da visitare.

Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Ausflug. Der Fluss auf dem die Floßfahrt stattfand hat um diese Jahreszeit so wenig Wasser, dass es nur sehr langsam und für die Floßführer sehr beschwerlich voran ging. Dadurch wurde die Fahrt irgendwann langweilig. Sollte man wissen ist um diese Jahreszeit halt so. Mit mehr Wasser unter dem Floß macht es sicherlich auch richtig Spaß!! Etwas über die Rettung der grünen Meeresschildkröte zu erfahren und zu sehen fanden wir sehr informativ! Das Highlight war natürlich das Baden mit den Elefanten. Es handelt sich hier um gerettete Tiere die hier liebevoll versorgt werden und nur ein paar wenige kleine Gruppen dürfen sie am Tag besuchen. In unseren Augen kein Stress für die Tiere, da man ihnen ganz nahe kommen konnte und sie die Ruhe selbst waren. Das Mittagessen war sehr lecker und es gab reichlich für alle. Ein rundum sehr empfehlenswerter Ausflug mit einem tollen, immer auskunftsfreudigen Guide. Volker ein großes Lob auch an dich!!
