Great day with the elephants

We had a brilliant trip to Elephant Fantastic with Land Discovery. The guide was great, telling us all about Thailand and its people as well as the elephants at the site. I was a little concerned about going to a place that exploited animals, and while I'm still slightly concerned about elephants carrying tourists all day, the trek was short and the elephants seemed well seed for. The handlers were friendly and kind to the elephants and the site was professional and clean. I enjoyed bathing the elephants at the end of the trip.Worth the half day visit for sure. We also had a great lunch provided by the locals. Better than I have had on other trips.

An excellent trip to Pang Nga Bay (James Bond Island) with Nedo

My husband and I booked this day trip through our hotel (Sentido Graceland) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour guide Nedo and his colleague picked us up promptly from our hotel in a clean, air conditioned minibus with unlimited water and Pepsi available. We drove to a pier where we boarded a long-tail boat that took us on a 45 minute trip past mangroves and rock formations to the famous James Bond Island. We stayed there for around 45 minutes to take pictures and explore the small bay. We then headed to a Kayak experience, where we had our own guide who steered us around a cave and into some mangroves - this was the highlight of the trip for me, the scenery is beautiful. Make sure you take your phone and wallet in something waterproof (the kayak-driver expects a reasonable tip!) and you can even buy a coconut from a passing boat. After this, we stopped off at a local fishing village built on stilts for lunch. The food was fabulous and there was plenty of it! You can then explore the village, but expect to be hassled by market sellers as you go. Finally we took the long-tailed boat back to the pier and a short minibus ride to a Temple in a cave, surrounded by Monkeys. This again, was a highlight. The temple itself is fascinating, but be sure to wear a long skirt or trousers/shorts and cover your shoulders as with all Temples in Thailand. You can also buy food for the monkeys and hand feed them (they're still wild so be careful not to feed too many of them at once, as they can get aggressive with one another). Our tour guide spoke relatively good English and was keen to practice, but was a lovely, genuine guy who really wants you to enjoy your day. He offered us cold towels and drinks at regular intervals and thoroughly looked after us. Thank you for helping us to create such special memories.
