We were staying at Beyond resort 10 minutes north of Khao Lak. Given the great sunsets from this location we thought it would be good to have dinner on a boat and watch the sunset. Our resort could only offer us a dinner cruise out of a marina by phuket some 90 minutes drive away. We didnt want to go that far for a cruise. A bit of googling turned up Khao Lak Land Discovery Dinner Cruise. They have a sunset cruise on a fully renovated boat for $100 per person and just 20 minute drive to the marina from Khao Lak. We booked this through the internet for 4 people. Pickup from the hotel was at 4pm and return by 8:30pm. We had no idea if this cruise was good or bad as there were no reviews for it online and no photos of the boat. Let me say this cruise was the one of the best nights out we had in Khao Lak. Once we got to the Marina our tour guide on the boat was Jero. Jero has perfect english, very knowledgeable of the local area and current affairs, probably the best tour guide I have ever had on any tour! Jero told us we were the only people on the cruise, this just gets better! When we saw the boat it was huge just for the 4 of us. The boat has 2 levels, open deck upstairs and covered downstairs. You can take some wine on the cruise if you like or there is a cash bar on board. We cruised out of the Marina at a leisurely pace enjoying the scenery, some nibbles on board, relaxing music and a cocktail in hand. After about 45 minutes we dropped anchor for a spot of fishing, this is optional and you don't have to fish. It was entertaining watching the crew fish from the deck upstairs. We then moved further off the coast to watch the sunset around 6:15 pm. As we had the boat to ourselves were were spoilt for choice of where to sit. While we were enjoying the sunset the crew had a prepared a lovely dinner downstairs of some wonderful Thai food. Once dinner was finished Jero asked us to move upstairs for a surprise. We took our seats and then the fireworks began, right of the top of the boat... a perfect way to end the cruise. On the journey back to port we enjoyed gazing at the starry night away from the light pollution and we even saw the space station fly over head! The whole cruise end to end was perfect. Jero did a fantastic job as guide, the girl behind the bar with the great cocktails and all the other crew that ensured we had a wonderful and safe cruise. I would highly recommend this cruise. I believe it has only just started so book it quick before it gets too popular!!

We booked our tours while in Thailand through Khao Lak Land Discovery and found them to be very professional and easy to deal with. Both of the tours had them picking us up from our hotel, they arrived promptly and on time and had great tour guides who were able to speak a variety of languages. We went on the Hong Island tour - an amazing day with an early start (0430) the boat ride was interesting and the kayaking through the caves simply breathtaking, and the 3 Temples Tour - our tour guide Jenny was organised, friendly and very knowledgeable about the various temples we visited. Lunch was provided both days, plenty of drinks and modern vehicles were used. I can recommend this tour service. Our only problem was an unscheduled stop on the Hong Island tour to one of the Temples which we visited the next day!!This I believe was the guide trying to fill the day out which then impacted on the tour we were taking the following day. The day had been long enough and didn’t need extending by this detour.

Wir waren das zweite mal in Khao Lak und haben auch diesmal wieder alle Ausflüge mit Khao Lak Land Discovery über unsere Reiseleitung gebucht und ausgeführt. Und wir waren wieder begeistert. Organisation, Ausführung Tourprogramm und Individualität alles ganz hervorragend und nur zu empfeheln. Wer bei seinen Ausflügen dann noch an Deniz oder Tim (Thai) als Tourguides gerät der hat ein unvergessliches Abenteuer und eine Mnege Spaß vor sich. Weiter so...

Buongiorno,siamo una coppia di Torino che ha usato la vostra agenzia per organizzare trasferimenti ed escursioni e grazie alla vostra collaborazione la vacanza è stata spettacolare. Soprattutto l'escursione a Hong Island è stata spettacolare grazie alla vostra guida che pur essendo l'unica coppia italiana su 12 persone, ha unito il gruppo e ci ha resi tutti partecipi ed ha reso la giornata piacevolissima.
