Khao Sok National Park covers 739 km² of ancient rainforest in Surat Thani Province, preserving one of the oldest and most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. The park’s signature feature is Cheow Lan Lake, a vast reservoir ringed by limestone karsts, but the surrounding jungle — home to hornbills, langur monkeys, tigers, and the occasional wild elephant — is equally remarkable. Khao Sok is widely considered one of Thailand’s most rewarding natural destinations.

Transfers to Khao Sok from Khao Lak and Phuket

Khao Sok is approximately 60 km east of the Khao Lak coast. Private transfers from Khao Lak to Khao Sok take around 75 minutes and are the most convenient option for resort-to-resort travel. Best Time to Visit

Khao Sok receives rain year-round, but the driest and most accessible months are November to April. The wet season (May–October) brings dramatic daily downpours, lush jungle scenery and fewer tourists — an appealing trade-off for more adventurous visitors. The park is open daily; entrance is ฿300 per person for international visitors.
