Phang Nga Province

Phang Nga Province stretches along Thailand’s Andaman coast north of Phuket, encompassing some of the region’s most dramatic scenery: the karst-studded waters of Phang Nga Bay, the forested mountains of Khao Sok National Park, and the long sandy beaches of Khao Lak. For most international visitors, Phang Nga is the province they come to for nature — beaches without the crowds of Phuket, jungle without the commercialisation of Koh Samui, and national parks that border the world’s oldest rainforest.

Getting Around Phang Nga

Phang Nga has no domestic airport. The nearest airports are Phuket (80 km south of Khao Lak) and Surat Thani (180 km north-east). Within the province, private transfers are the practical choice — public transport is sparse outside of Phang Nga Town itself. Khao Lak Land Discovery runs transfers across the province, connecting Phuket Airport, Khao Lak, Khao Sok, Phang Nga Bay, and the Natai/Bang Sak resort corridor.
