Lam Kaen sits at the southern end of the Khao Lak resort corridor, approximately 5 km south of central Khuk Khak. The area is dominated by the Khao Lak Merlin Resort complex and several other mid-to-upmarket hotels facing a clear, coral-fringed bay. The beach here is slightly more sheltered than central Khao Lak, and the water visibility offshore is notably good — making it popular with resort divers and snorkellers using the jetty-based day boats that operate from the beach.

Getting to Lam Kaen

Lam Kaen is 5 km south of Khuk Khak town and 75 km from Phuket Airport — a slightly shorter drive than the rest of Khao Lak because it sits closer to the Sarasin Bridge junction.
