Khao Lak Tours

The Similan Islands, James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay, Khao Sok National Park and Cheow Lan Lake, the Phi Phi Islands and our Krabi 4-Island trip are the tours guests book most. Snorkelling day trips and rainforest tours are the two strongest categories.

We recommend booking popular tours such as the Similan Islands at least 2–3 days ahead, and earlier during high season (November to April), when boats sell out. Quieter tours can usually be arranged a day ahead.

Most tours are family friendly. Snorkelling trips to the Similan and Phi Phi Islands suit children from roughly 4 years old, and our rainforest and lake tours work well for all ages. Child rates apply — tell us your children's ages and we will recommend the right trip.

Prices include hotel pickup and drop-off in the Khao Lak area, a professional guide, meals where the tour specifies them, national park entrance fees, snorkelling equipment on sea trips, drinking water and insurance. Prices are shown per person in Thai baht (฿).

High season runs from November to April, with the calmest seas and clearest water. The Similan and Surin Islands are closed by law from 16 May to 15 October and reopen on 16 October each year. Khao Sok, Phang Nga Bay and the Phi Phi Islands run year-round.
