Rawai and Nai Harn occupy Phuket’s southern tip, a world away from the tourist density of Patong just 20 km north. Rawai is a working fishing village where longtail boats pack the shore and the seafood restaurants along the beachfront are genuinely local. Nai Harn Beach — a curved bay backed by a park and a yacht club — is one of Phuket’s most beautiful stretches of sand, well-regarded for swimming and free of the jet-ski operators common further north.

Transfer from Khao Lak to Rawai and Nai Harn

Rawai and Nai Harn are in the south of Phuket Island, approximately 100–110 km from Khao Lak — a 100–120 minute drive. Khao Lak Land Discovery transfers to south Phuket (Rawai / Nai Harn) from ฿3,300 one-way. The extra distance versus the central Phuket beach strip is roughly 15–20 minutes of additional drive time, so early-morning airport pickups from south Phuket should be timed with care.

Things to Do Around Rawai

Rawai is a practical base for exploring south Phuket: Promthep Cape viewpoint (the island’s southernmost point) is 5 minutes away by motorbike; Nai Harn Beach is 3 km north; the Chalong Temple is 10 minutes north. Longtail boats from Rawai pier run day trips to Coral Island (Koh Hae) for snorkelling. For more ambitious diving or snorkelling, the Similan Islands day trip departs from Khao Lak — a 90-minute drive north.
