I used Khao Lak land discovey for Phuket airport transfers and a day trip to Similan. They were atleast 25-30% more expensive and had some fabulous ways of convincing you ..... quality of vehicles, special food cooked for you, we get you there before others, we have more snorkeling stops than others, unlimited drinks and snacks etc etc... Ultimately it was all Crap !!! I paid thru my nose and got nothing out of it. Just one snorkeling Stop and the reason they gave us was this is the "2nd time in my 75 trips this has happened". Sounded like a overplayed recorded track. I cancelled all my further plans with them and hired another local travel company at 2/3rd the cost and had a fabulous time.

Bon was our guide for our family of 6 and he was fantastic. We were joined by one other couple from Croatia so the small group was lovely. We started with a fantastic raft then off to the elephant trek then waterfalls and a lay on the beach. I really fantastic day and I am only sorry we didn't book another tour with these guys as they were booked out and couldn't get us on the Similan Tour.....so we ended up with another tour company and two didn't really compare. Make sure you book in advance so you don't miss out on going on your tours with Khao Lak Land Discovery because we were pretty unhappy with the other tour company.

Did the half day elephant ride tour. We were the only ones and the tour was a treat. Rode the elephant to a beautiful waterfall and then taken to lunch. A little restaurant built over a waterfall. Exquisite views and delicious food.

It wasn't particularly nice weather when we did our tour which was a shame but we still all thoroughly enjoyed our day. Our guide was absolutely fantastic, very friendly and informative. James Bond Island was not a highlight, it was extremely busy with people and boats everywhere. The canoeing at Hong Island however was fantastic, 2 people to a boat along with the guide who is rowing. Some parts of the caves were quite narrow but it was a great/fun experience and in the 2nd place we went to we saw monkeys which kept us all entertained. The rock formations are stunning, and at certain times we were the only people which was very relaxing and peaceful. Our lunch at the floating village was lovely, the food was delicious and the service great. We definitely recommend this tour with Khao Lak Land Discovery, excellent service when booking and as well as our wonderful guide, the other 3 men on the boat were great and really helped us to enjoy our day.

The tour started bad as the transfer was late. To compensate for that the driver drove like crazy - just to get us to the honour where we had to wait 15-20 mins for another group of guests. Got on the boat for the 80 mins ride. It was bumping very badly and very loud. If you had a bad back or were bringing children it would have been a nightmare. Got to snorkle which was beautiful but you have to know that about 60-70 boats arrive each day so you will never feel like you got the beach on your own.
