Vi havde bestilt 3 ture med Khao Lak Land Discovery via mail - og alt foregik upåklageligt. Snorkeltur til Similan Island, 2 dages tur til Khao Sok og tur til "james Bond Island mm". - Vi blev samlet op til den aftalte tid, minibusser/bil var behagelige med aircondition og alle guiderne var dygtige og meget venlige og omsorgsfulde. På turen til "James Bond island" fik vi bl.a. en masse gode tips om det lokale liv i Thailand. På turen til Khaosok var vi de eneste der skulle med, hvilket betød at vi fik en privat tur med privat chauffør/guide - hvilket også betød, at vi selv kunne bestemme fart og steder vi ville stoppe undervejs. Bl.a. var der god tid på hjemvejen, så vi kunne vælge et/flere steder vi gerne ville se undervejs. - Til gengæld har vi fortrudt at vi i Khaosok valgte at tage på Khasok Treetop (overnatning og gåtur i regnskov), vil nok have fortrukket overnatning ved søen. Overnatningen i Treetop var OK, men da det lå relativt tæt på vejen blev følelsen af urskovstemning ødelagt at forbipasserende biler samt noget håndværksarbejde, der var igang på hotellet. Gåturen i regnskoven på 2 dagen var ikke specielt spændende, stort set ingen fugle og ingen kæmpeblomst - til gengæld en del igler, der kravlede ind under strømpen og bed sig fast! Men alt det kan man jo ikke bebrejde Khaolak Land Discovery, og på en anden dag hvor det ikke havde regnet så meget, ville oplevelsen måske have været anderledes. Men næste gang vil vi hellere prøve en overnatning ved søen. Alt ialt kan vi kun anbefale at bruge Khao Lak Land Discovery til udflugter/ture.

Upon arriving in Khao Lak I booked 3 tours with Khao Lak Land Discovery, 1/2 day elephant trek, Phi Phi Island & a Phuket day trip. The staff were wonderful, always arriving on time with an air conditioned mini-bus or van. The elephant trek was great but nothing like I expected! Riding an elephant is not smooth, i was holding the back of the seat to prevent sliding off. The jungle was beautiful & lush & feeding the elephants back at the camp was fun. The trip to Phi Phi Island was great. The bus drops you at another tour company in Phuket and you join other tourists. The boat ride is fast, talking is almost impossible. The beach is stunning! I suggest walking through the island to the viewpoint on the other side, its a lovely walk through the jungle. This company does not let you off at Monkey Beach to see the monkeys however with the amount of people who were on the beach, I doubt you would see them if you could. We saw the ones up high on the cliff from the boat. Lunch was delicious and the snorkeling was wonderful. Beware there are plenty of sea anemones so watch your hands and feet! A great day all round! The trip to Phuket was a great way to see Phuket on limited time. The views form the lookouts on the drive are amazing. The shopping is great and the beach is nice. I strongly suggest using Khao Lak Land Discovery for your tours. The staff are friendly and efficient and the tours are great.

we went on the elephant safari on the 4.1.2011. it was well organised and the guides very very good the best part of the whole safari was taking a bath with the elephants this was an experience I shall never forget.it is only when you are this close(scrubbing them) that you realise how soft and inteligent they really are. a wonderful experience

We took the Jungle Safari Day trip - which included a bamboo raft trip, a stop at a waterful with lunch, some time at a beautiful beach, and an elephant ride. They picked us up at our hotel in the morning. We had a nice, small group. The transportation was in an air conditioned van. Our guide spoke fluent english and was very knowledgable and nice. The highlight was the elephants. After riding them, we could feed them bananas (purchased for 50 B). You can interact with them and see how they interact with their handlers. Was a fun, day. While on the elephant ride - we took a hike into the jungle and climbed some steep ladders. Not for the elderly or handicapped! Beautiful setting though. Be prepared to be wet from the raft trip, and swimming on the beach. Best to wear swim wear under shorts for the day.
