Avons séjourner sur Khao lak et ns avons fait plusieurs excursions avec l'organise khao lak land discovery et à chaque fois avec le guide francophone (belge) Hughes Lohr, trés professionnel, super sympa et qui connais l'histoire et les richesses de ce pays sur le bon des doigts! La boite fut trés professionnel avec nous car nous devions faire une excursion a 8 mais 6 personnes (françaises) ont annulé le matin du départ, et pour ma copine et moi cela tomber à l'eau pour notre séjour 2 jours 1 nuits sur les pilotis et jungle de Khao sok... mais NON! la boite à autorisé le guide (hughes) et nous 2 à partir et faire les activités prévu, nous avions le guide pour nous tout seul... ROYAL !Bref, boite sérieuse et guide francophone au TOP!

We booked the Khao Sok Tour with Hughes and were very content with our tour leader. We were a mixed group of french and english speaking people and at all times he was doing everything to translate every bit of conversation in both languages. He had plenty of information on sights and culture and was very friendly. I’d book with Land discovery and Hughes again :)

A great experience all way through - smooth booking process, pickup on time, great tour-guide (Andy), super treetop bungalow and food.... and memorable experiences, especially evening and night in the treetops watching and hearing the animals as well as the 4 hour jungle-walk on day 2. I would definately recommend this tour.

Booked the trek and bathe with elephants via the KLLD office in Khao Lak - paid a slightly discounted 3500 baht for two of us. Hotel pick up on time and we went to the elephant sanctuary north of Khao Lak. On arrival we had a brief about the elephants and then went on an hour trek. Unlike the previous review, the experience was totally the opposite. The elephants were extremely well treated, never once hit or picked. The seats were all well padded out with quite a few layers of carpet/material. There were certainly no pressure marks or sores evident when we bathed with them with the seats off. They went their own way and were allowed to within reason and their handlers were helpful and friendly, offering to take pictures with our cameras. We then spent half an hour bathing with them, sitting on our own elephant, washing and playing with them. Yes, you could buy food to feed them and we did - fresh bananas which they loved. They also fed themselves around the trek with leaves (and were allowed to by the handlers). From there we went for a lovely lunch up by a waterfall south of Khao Lak before being taken back to our hotel. Our guide for the day - 'Gift' and our driver 'Sun' were both excellent and Gift explained everything about the elephants and indeed anything else we asked her. Well worth the money and we did not feel at all that we part of any exploitation of these gentle giants. If you want to do an elephant trek, I would certainly recommend this one as a stand-alone trip. Thank you KLLD.

Ce jour, j ai voulu faire avec ce groupe lexcursion ed 2 jours: Khao Sok Jungle discoveryLa journee a commencee avec un bete tour en elephant d une heure cad; 30 minutes aller 30 minute retour dans une petite riviere. Ensuite petite escale pour une photo le long de la route< Ensuite, visite d un petit temple ( 30 minutes)> Apres cette visite, nous nous sommes diriges vers l hotel pour manger. hotel: Rock treehouse khao Sok. Hotel petit, sale et mal situe. taches sur les draps, moisissure dans les joints de la salle de bain> Apres un repas digne d une cantine de prison, nous sommes partis 1h30 en canoe sur une riviere> Sans aucun interet. A 14h30, nous sommes revenus a l hotel. Le guide a rechager dans le bus les personnes qui faisaient le tour : full dqy tour khao sok jungle. Pour ne rien rajouter, mais ces gens ont tout vu sauf la jungle. on a demande a la guide ce qu on faisait par la suite. Elle nous a repondu, on se revoit a 19 h pour le repas. Nous devions donc rester de 14h30 a 19 h dans un endroit perdu, juste deux personnes, sans rien faire. nous n avons meme pas eu de conseils pour se ballader ou autre> nous avons donc demande de revenir sur khao lak. Elle a appele un local qui m a facture le retour 500 baths. nous avons contacter le bureau qui nous a repondu qu il ne savait faire qu une reduction de 10 pourcent sur un autre tour en titre de compensation. Je trouve cela honteux de ne pas prevenir les gens avant la reservation que le tour se termine a 14h30. On ne laisse pas deux clients seuls sans infos dans un tel endroit sans s en preoccuper. De plus la journee n est en fait que trois petites activites> Bien loin du titre decouverte de la jungle. A deconseiller fortement
