I booked a couple of day trips and transfers. The drivers and cars are fantastic - private car even had WIFI. The day cruise along the coast of Khao Lak was relaxed and nice, good food and nice guides. The Dolphin Cruise has been recently done up and offered plenty of space. The land day trip was mixed. Bamboo rafting was a hoot and the turtle Conservation Center, temple and Tsunami memorial informative. BUT the elephant bath was a tourist attraction and not a welfare centre as I had thought. I wish I had informed myself better - I would definitely not have gone to that one and perhaps donated that money to a real elephant sanctuary or charity instead.

Wir wurden pünktlich abgeholt, unsere deutschsprachige Ausflugsleitung war nett und konnte sehr viele Details in amüsanter Art nennen.Das Highlight war das Baden mit Elefanten. Der Wasserfall und die Bambusflossfahrt waren auch super.

Fantastic day with guide Dido and driver. Travelled by jeep to trek up to a beautiful waterfall. Have to be pretty mobile to climb up, well worth it to see the sights and wildlife. Took a bamboo raft down the river which was amazing! Followed by a visit to a 500 year old tree, and temples. Spent time at the boat memorial site for the tsunami, very sobering, and interesting to see. A lovely visit to see turtles at the sanctuary. A delicious lunch feast, followed by a visit to a lovely beach. We loved our day from start to finish. Made all the more enjoyable by the guides good grasp of English, local knowledge and fun humour. Recommend :)

Un tour très sympa et informatif. Hughes donne des informations très détaillées sur la flore, la faune et la culture thaïe en général sans jamais être barbant, avec un style direct et dynamique qui donne un peu l'impression de voyager avec un ami plus qu'un guide et donne donc plus envie de poser des questions. Le rythme est agréable, pas trop speed, pour que ça reste quand même des vacances. Le lieu est très touristique, mais la compagnie a des groupes réduits, donc on a moins l'impression d'être au milieu d'un troupeau.
