Hotel pick-up was bang on time and it took about 20 minutes from the south of Khao Lak to reach the jetty. Our guide gave a detailed briefing in german (majority of guests spoke this) and a less detailed one in english. I think he just missed out the cheesy jokes, but all the relevant information was there. Seasickness pills were provided. Then it was off to the boats, via a large bucket where we were asked to leave our shoes. So, don't bother about what to wear on your feet, as the answer is flippers or nothing.Water was offered throughout the trip and all snorkel gear was provided, plus there were life jackets available for less confident swimmers. One negative - I reckon with a couple of people less in the group the boat journey would have been a lot more comfortable. We spent a rather cramped hour zipping over the waves to our first stop, where we climbed Sail Rock - a bit tricky with nothing on your feet. If you have mobility problems or suffer from vertigo, enjoy a swim from the white sand beach. This wasn't a scheduled snorkel stop but there were still fish to observe.Then it was on to our first snorkel stop - imagine spending 45 glorious minutes with your head in an aquarium. Magic. The sun is strong so make sure you slap on the waterproof sunblock or even better, wear a t-shirt when you're in the water.We then moved on to our third stop where we had lunch (average at best) and hung around for an hour waiting to go to the next snorkel stop. But hey, the beach is pretty and there are plenty of shady trees. It was nice to chill in the cool Andaman breeze.The second snorkel stop was amazing, not least because a green sea turtle decided to join us. There were even more fish than at the first stop, and though there were a couple of other boats there when we arrived, they moved off and we had the place to ourselves for about 45 minutes. An hour passed very quickly and then it was time to head for home.So, bring yourself, swimming gear, a towel, a t-shirt, high factor sunscreen, your camera and a smile, plus water. We were offered water regularly on the boat but it's still worth bringing extra.

Nous avons fait deux excursions avec Hugues : Khao Sok et Hong.Super organisation. Très bonne ambiance grâce à Hugues qui vous met rapidement à l'aise.A recommander viviement.

Auch in diesem Jahr haben wir wieder einen Ausflug über KLLD gemacht und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Die relativ neue und für Khao Lak einzigartige Offroad Safari ist genau das Richtige für Leute, die die unberührte Natur in Verbindung mit ein wenig Action und Bewegung erleben möchten, einfach genial!Kontakt mit KLLD im Vorfeld, Fahrer, Guides, Equipment, Pünktlichkeit und Essen/Getränke waren wie immer auf Topniveau.Wer nährere Informationen möchte, kann mich jederzeit persönlich kontaktieren.

Nous sommes partis faire l excursion d une journee aux iles similan (groupe de 8) avec Hugues le jour de son anniversaire en plus !!!!! C etait genial, iles paradisiaques qu on a pu apprecier avant l arrivee des gros bateaux touristiques grace a cette compagnie !! Eaux turquoises remplies de vies et tortues !!!!! Magique !! Hugues a ete au top n hesitez pas a y aller avec lui ca reste un de nos meilleurs souvenirs de thailande !!Un grand merci de nous tous et a bientot Hugues !!!

Nous avons été ravi de nos excursions effectuées avec le guide francophone Hugues, car il connait très bien la Thaïlande et sa culture. C'est très agréable d'avoir un guide francophone sympatrique ( nous avons constaté une grosse différence avec les autres guides quand malheureusement il n'y avait pas assez de clientèle francophone pour que Hugues nous accompagne.
