We were on a holiday in Phuket and decided to take the day tour to Khao Lak! I'm so glad we did! This adventure was truly the highlight of the holiday for me! The drive is approximately one and a half hours from Phuket... But it was so lovely to leave Phuket behind and move into lush green surroundings. We drove through little towns that were so clean... And not a tourist in sight! The adventure itself was amazing! The kids saw and experienced so much! Elephant trekking through dense jungle full of wildlife, bamboo canoeing and swimming in clean fresh water waterfalls! The lunch provided was out of this world scrumptious... All overlooking the national park. A truly memorable day! Was so nice to move from the hassle and bustle of Phuket to Thailand's renowned beautiful country side :)

Great day out- pick up from motel, entertaining guide and a full cultural experience. Groups were small and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Trip into Hong Island is very quick (but simply stunning!) due to the tides. Lunch at a gypsy town was a very interesting setting and nice food. Would recommend!

Elephant treking not all that flash as you just go around a farm not really through any rainforest. Beautiful animals though. The waterfall we went to was just up the road from the resort anyhow.

I've been to Kholak at Pang Nga province in about last 2 weeks. It was so fun and good memory. In the last trip I was with friends and stayed at the Briza Beach Resort. This resort is little resort by the sea side that made me feel like in a peaceful area. I could completely relax in friends in the resort at the day time and also having extremely fun at the night time. Back to my current trip. I planned to go sightseeing in Takuapa district by driving. It is said that, in this district has so much attractive chino-Portuguese building style. The architecture style can be seen in many provinces around Southern Thailand. So I think these all buildings will drive me be back in the period time. My slow driving trip had started in the early morning til afternoon then stop driving for lunch. There is so many restaurant and stall stores had been recommended to try. Finally I choose Khaolak Seafood restaurant because here serves lot of tasty traditional food. Normally, food in southern area is so spicy if anyone likes spicy food you can try them. In the evening I went back to my comfy room in The Briza Resort again for having some rest.

We did the Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island tour in May 2012 and it was great!We were picked up on time from our hotel and made our way to Phang Nga Bay which was about an hour away. We then went by Long Tail boat to the Muslim village on stilts where we had lunch which was lovely! We then had some time to explore before we headed back to the boat.The sea cave canoeing was awesome, though at times, a little bit scary when you go through the low caves! But Hong Island's lagoon was beautiful and so peaceful so is definitely worth going through the tight squeeze of the caves for!We got some time to ourselves to paddle our own canoes and also to swim if you felt like it before we headed to James Bond island! As we got there late, there was hardly any tourists there which was great - it was well worth the visit as it was beautiful! Our tour guide even spent time picking up perfect little shells to give us as a present!All in all, it was a great day and we would recommend to anyone!
