We booked 3 tours with KLLD. The safari tour was definitely our favourite. My biggest concern when booking a tour with elephants was that it wouldn’t be ethical and they would be poorly treated, but the sanctuary was beautiful and family run and the elephants were so well looked after. Our tour guide Gift was so lovely and had so many stories to share about Khoa Lak it really made a massive difference.Our second tour was the adventure tour. It was such a fun day out, the guides on the water rafts, quad bikes and zip lines were all fantastic. As well as our guide for the overall trip, Ann. Ann went above and beyond, she took so many photos of us to send at the end of the day which was great as I wasn’t keen to get my phone out myself due to the activities.On both of the above tours there was an unreal lunch included. KLLD have really chosen the best companies to work with, every person we met during our tours was so kind, welcoming and really made the whole experience that much better.Lastly we did the Patong Beach tour. This included a lift down to Patong Beach at 2pm and a lift home at 11pm. We really enjoyed this trip as Khoa Lak is very quiet so we got to see another part of Thailand that was the complete opposite.

We took part in the off-road safari on 26 Oct. It was great, varied and spectacular. Michael provided us with interesting information. When the canoe trip was supposed to be we had a heavy thunderstorm. The group agreed it could be dangerous on the water during the storm and asked Michael to cancel the tour. But the day was still full of good experiences and we like to thank Michael and his driver once more.

We chose their elephant experience over others as it was shorter, and focused on the time spent with the elephants. We have two small children and didn't want to stretch their patience with harvesting grass and preparing food, which some other elephant experiences in the area include.We were not disappointed - everything was exactly as described. The drive the and back from The Sands in Khao Lak was about an hour. The driver and guide were both fantastic. The elephants appeared happy and in good health, and seemed to enjoy the experience as much as we did! The setting in the jungle was picturesque.I definately recommend.
