Wir haben uns entschieden über dieses Unternehmen unseren Transport zum Airport laufen zu lassen. Unabhängig davon das wohl die Priorität bei dem Unternehmen auf Ausflüge liegt, haben wir den Preis pro Person von 600 BTH gesehen und uns dafür entschieden. Es ist eine Sammelfahrt und die Abfahrtszeit war für uns viel zu früh und haben eine Privatfahrt für 1500 BTH angeboten bekommen. Die haben wir auch gebucht.Die anderen Transferservices liegen bei 1800 und das Hotel bei 2000.Der Fahrer war 20 min vor Abholtermin am Hotel und hat uns zuverlässig zum Airport gebracht. Nur er konnte sich nicht wirklich ein wenig auf Englisch mit uns unterhalten.Also, bestens zu empfehlen.

Während unseres 2 wöchigen Aufenthalts in Khao Lak haben wir 3 Tagesausflüge bei Khao Lak Land Discovery gebucht. Auf allen 3 Ausflügen war die Betreuung und Organisation grundsätzlich gut. Auch die Busfahrten waren angenehm und die Fahrer fuhren grösstenteils vorsichtig. Zu den einzelnen Ausflügen und Guides gibt es folgendes zu sagen:Similan Islands mit Andy ** Das einzig wirklich unangenehme war die Bootsfahrt zu den Inseln. Für den Wellengang kann der Veranstalter jedoch nichts. Wer jedoch nicht wirklich seetauglich ist, dem würden wir von diesem Ausflug abraten. Trotz allem Besatzung hat sich bestens um die Passagiere gekümmert und wo notwendig geholfen. Der Guide Andy war nicht ausserordentlich engagiert, was bei diesem Ausflug jedoch auch nicht unbedingt notwendig war. Die meisten Leute buchen diesen Ausflug wohl einfach um die Strände und Meeresbewohner zu sehen. Die Landschaft der Inseln waren sehr schön und die Schnorchel-Stopps boten einige schöne Bilder. Jedoch ist dieses Ausflugsziel dann doch ziemlich touristisch und für unseren Geschmack zu sehr überlaufen. Zwar starten die Ausflüge extra früh morgens, trotzdem sind die Strände voll von Ausflüglern.Khao Sok Nationalpark mit Tim*** Der Guide Tim (selbst Thai) bemühte sich zu Beginn noch sehr, uns Kultur und Land näher zu bringen. Voller Elan gings los, was dann leider bis zum Nachmittag etwas abflaute. Die Kanufahrt war toll, das Elefantenreiten dann halt doch sehr Standartprogramm.Pang Nga Bucht mit Erich **** Dieser Ausflug krönte unsere Thailand-Erlebnisse richtiggehend. Erich, der Guide, war super informiert über Land und Leute, konnte viele "Hintergrundinformationen" zur Natur und Umgebung liefern und war stets bemüht, der grossen Touristenflut so gut es ging auszuweichen. Seine Tipps und Infos waren auch beim weiteren Thailandaufenthalt sehr hilfreich!Unser Fazit somit: Das Angebot von Khao Lak Land Discovery ist vielfältig und alles ist sehr gut organisiert. Jedoch sind die einzelnen Ausflüge sehr von den Guides abhängig. Leider ist nicht jeder Guide so sehr mit Herzblut dabei wie es Erich war! :-) Danke!

8am-5pm Full day service. Eric our guide was very knowledgeable and translated in English and German all day. The raft ride was fun and my hubby and I both loved the experience. We were very impressed with the turtle rehabilitation centre at the Naval base. The elephant trek was a trip highlight for me. The animals were all very loved and I was encouraged to climb onto my elephants head for the ride. Very scary at first ( so high off the ground) but I was so glad I did as it was a very up-close and personal experience for me. The trek went for about an hour into the jungle and then we purchased a basket of bananas (100 baht $4 Australian) and fed them to our elephants a treat for them. We had the opportunity to purchase a framed photo (250 baht $10 Australian) which I definitely wanted- keepsake. Brisbane airport customs said that we couldn't bring into Australia but after showing the frame to them they actually said our frame was ok to enter Australia as it had been dyed, I was very relieved! Tour was an absolute Thailand highlight.

Thankyou Eric (tour guide) and Lung (bus drive). James Bond Island not really much to see but Eric managed to make a very informative tour of the mangroves and stilt village with delicious lunch. We were the only two non German speaking in the group, Eric made sure we were given information in English and we had a great time. Lung took us into the reclining Buddha cave temple. Monkeys everywhere, be careful. Go on an elephant ride - a great experience. We loved our holiday in Khao Lak.
