A excellent day out exploring on the back of an Elephant, we had a great Mahoot who took loads of pictures for us along the way. Small group of us (8) picked up from our hotel and away we went, water provided throughout the day. After riding the elephants, they had a bath and we all hopped in and helped wash (and play) with them. Fantastic. We then went for lunch at a little hidden out of the way restaurant in the hills where we had a lovely feast of massaman curry, chicken, thai soup, rice, and pineapple. A great day out, well recommended.

Der Trip mit Khao Lak Land Discovery war ein wunderschönes Erlebnis. Zuerst ging es mit einem Bambusfloß für eine Stunde durch den Regenwald. Dabei gab es allerhand Tiere zu bewundern- Schlangen und Warane...auch die Regenschauer, die von Zeit zu Zeit herunterkamen, konnten den Tag nicht kaputt machen, da für alle Regencapes vorhanden waren und unser Guide- ein in Deutschland aufgewachsener Thai, uns den ganzen Tag gut unterhalten hat. Auch der nächste Stop war ein Erlebnis- die Meeresschildkrötenaufzuchtstation. Hier konnte man Meeresschildkröten von gerade geschlüpft bis zu 5 Jahre alten beobachten. Auch hier hat uns unser Guide mit allerhand Infos "gefüttert"- sehr informativ. Danach ging es zum Lunch- sehr romantisch am Wasserfall gelegen. Es war alles frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Als letzter Stop ging es zum Highlight ins Elefantencamp. Hier sind wir eine Stunde auf einem Elefanten durch den Regenwald geritten. Ein super Erlebnis, welches wir so schnell nicht vergessen werden!! Unbedingt anzumerken ist, dass die Agentur darauf bedacht ist, möglichst umweltschonend (für thailändische Verhältnisse) zu agieren, und, darauf achtet, dass es den Elefanten gut geht in ihrem Camp.

Enjoyable 4x4 trip to the waterfall, though not a true 4x4 required as dodgy roads were the most hectic terrain covered and these were easily traversed by locals on scooters who zipped past us. Lunch was delicious and plentiful. Canoe trip was relaxing and picturesque. Beware when feeding the monkeys that they don't bite your fingers while trying to grab the food bag from your hands. Stay standing and you should be fine. There was a bit of a mix up with our trip- somehow they assumed we were German and put us with a German guide and all German tourists. Not ideal as we missed out on a lot of chatter and felt a bit excluded. The guide seemed friendly enough but at the end of the trip we were the last to be dropped off and he complained and belittled tips left for him by the other travellers leaving us with a bit of a sour after taste for the day.

I was very pleased with this tour. This was one of the highlights of our visit to Phuket Island. I went with my wife and 4-year-old daughter. My daughter went free of charge. The ride on the elephant was very pleasing, feeding bananas to the elephants was a nice experience. Bring bananas or some spare money to buy bananas during the trekking. Our elephant sure enjoyed all the bananas we feed him/her. The elephant bathing was great, bring a go-pro for photos. Do not forget mosquito repelant as well.You will love this trip :)

Wir haben uns entschieden über dieses Unternehmen unseren Transport zum Airport laufen zu lassen. Unabhängig davon das wohl die Priorität bei dem Unternehmen auf Ausflüge liegt, haben wir den Preis pro Person von 600 BTH gesehen und uns dafür entschieden. Es ist eine Sammelfahrt und die Abfahrtszeit war für uns viel zu früh und haben eine Privatfahrt für 1500 BTH angeboten bekommen. Die haben wir auch gebucht.Die anderen Transferservices liegen bei 1800 und das Hotel bei 2000.Der Fahrer war 20 min vor Abholtermin am Hotel und hat uns zuverlässig zum Airport gebracht. Nur er konnte sich nicht wirklich ein wenig auf Englisch mit uns unterhalten.Also, bestens zu empfehlen.
