This may be worthwhile if you were a lot closer to the destination than we were (Khao Lak). Three hours in the van by the time we got to the Big Buddha. We were given 40 minutes to walk about. You don’t need it. 20 minutes max. Then another hour to the market by which time everyone felt like we were being taken hostage. 3 hours at the market. You don’t need that long to look at counterfeit goods. We found a small bar in the centre of the market where we had a beer and gentle sobbed. 2.5 hours back in the van to reach our hotel at 22:00. Restaurants closed. Luckily bar was still open where we drowned our sorrows and bitterly regretted our decision to book in the first place.

Super Transport im klimatisierten Kleinbus, lustiger Guide, der aber mehr über alles hätte erzählen können, man muss den Massentourismus am James Bond Felsen akzeptieren, ein verdrecktes und eher abschreckendes Fischerdorf (sehr schade) und ein verwahrloster Budda-Tempel (sehr enttäuschend). Das Highlight ist die atemberaubende Landschaft in der Phang Nha Bucht!!!

Would have been nice to have known that we were going to sit in a van for 4 hours before we got anywhere can’t fault the driver he was excellent
